"A monstrous 1.8-metre red-bellied black snake has been captured in south-east Brisbane.

The venomous snake was captured on the Belmont Shooting Range near a large creek system, which is a highly popular environment as the species thrive in a moist habitat."

Bricktop

It was in Brisbane.

However, snakes are present in pretty much all cities. They certainly are in Adelaide.

Brisbane, being sub-tropical and therefore wetter than southern cities, attracts a lot of wildlife. Snakes, lizards, bats, and the worst of all...Queenslanders.

It's a scrub python.

They are rather friendly and like to make house calls.

He's a snake wrangler. It's his job.

WHY he wanted to be a snake catcher is another, more perplexing query.

He probably can't sing or dance.

True, I like the creature comforts the city provides.
