You guys, come on now, if anyone has a chance its me. Im a "fiddler" after all, my fingers work magic

They are wishin they is a musician, like you.

I mean I do know how to make a fiddle sing, and how to use my bow

You call it a fiddle, not a violin?

Yes mam  ac_smile

A violin has strings, a fiddle has strangs    (accent)

A violinist goes by the sheet music, a fiddler plays by ear, and can improvise.

A violinist plays orchestra and symphony, a fiddler plays Celtic, Cajun, folk, bluegrass.

A violinist wears a suit, a fiddler wears overalls lol.

A violinist pays $10,000 for a violin, a fiddler pays less than $1000.

A violinist has a curved bridge, a fiddler wants a flatter bridge to to play two strings at once.

A violinist would have you sit, while a fiddler makes you dance  ac_dance

A violinist uses different strings usually than a fiddler.

Aside from my jokes, there really isnt much difference. Its all about what is played on it and how its played  :35ivrxd:

Well there ya go, its funner being around a fiddler vs a violinist    ac_dance  ac_drinks

Nah, just going to the lady's parents for breakfast. My friend and I were talking about doing that smoked ribs meal that night. I'll prolly do a ham at some point and invite friends and family over. Last I heard, we may be taking off Wednesday through Sunday.

But, those cheap bastards will only pay you for Christmas Day, not Boxing Day and the 27th. Am I wrong?

Yeah, only paid for Christmas day.

If I get lucky, sometimes they let us go after the meal on Eve, with pay the rest of the day. Usually $100 bonus. I wont get paid for Thursday and Friday.

My "plan" was to use my vacation days those days, but those got used for plumbing bullshit days. Which I just sent another email to my landlord, stating time I had to take off work, requesting additional deductions off my lot rent. Doubt I'll get anything, but no hurt in asking.
I've come here to chew bubble gum, and kick ass. And I'm all out of bubblegum.

I get paid by the mile. Yes, miles not kms. North American railways use imperial, not metric.

If I don't do trips that overlap Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's, I get paid miles that is averaged out over the past twelve months. If I do work trips over those stat holidays, I get paid two and a half times the mileage rate. I'll definitely do a trip on at least one of those days.

Nice. Think my lady gets paid double on holidays too.

If you work a stat holiday here, you get two and a half times your wages.
