I believe this will hit Canada, and the US worse than Italy. We can't even get test kits because both countries are dependent on China for the agents used to make them for fuck sakes. This is frickin nuts.

Most people are like yourself, they aint too worried about their investments. They are usually locked in until they retire. The global supply chain is in disarray. Across North America and throughout the world tens of millions of people will lose their jobs in the next six to nine months.

I don't think so Herman.

We're not as densely populated as Europe nor in as close proximity to China.

This virus seems to thrive where there are higher concentrations of people.

Note that Saskatchewan & Manitoba don't appear to have any cases yet.

Also the virus seems to transmit mire easily in milder & more humid climates.

Places like Canada with wide open spaces, fresh water & fresh breathable air will likely be spared the worst of this virus.

The USA HAS & will continue to get hammered by this virus worse than Canada.

They definitely have more to fear than we do.

The Health Minister disagrees with you JOE..

Patty Hajdu is saying that up to seventy per cent of the people in this country could become infected..

And our population is eight one per cent urban.

Well I hope she's wrong, Fashionista.

It looks like a dreadful disease altho people are recovering.

For some reason, some people get hit hard by the virus & die.

And others recover.

There was an article in the New York Times today about Two healthcare workers on the frontlines fighting for their lives after they caught it from some patients.

One of them lived, but the other didn't make it.

A 52 yr old grandmother died in Bali. I think she was English. She had two other pre-conditions. One was diabetes I THINK, the other was a lung disease, might have been asthma (?) Anyway, it affects people more if they have other conditions.

At least one of us on these forums will probably get the coronavirus.

That shit was a lot more deadly than coronavirus. Less contagious, but more lethal.

North American markets had a big day Friday, gaining back most of the previous day's losses. But, the wild ride on the markets will continue until the rest of the world gets to the stage that Asia is at now. And who knows how long that will take. I heard in the US it could be six to eight weeks.

Europe is now ground zero of this pandemic. Maybe it's due to bureaucracy, but they are not even close to a a coordinated effort to curtail new cases.

I have to look at stock prices everyday, you do not. Don't panic, we will get through this. I hope the looming recession is short.  But, that will depend on how when this pandemic peaks.

The medical staff are running out of vital supplies. Our continent states and territories have decided to share their various aids when we all run out of supplies.

And China isn't parting with test kits.
