The National Advisory Committee on Immunization says it is now recommending people who got the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine first should get Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna for their second shot..



The guidance is based on growing evidence that a second dose of an mRNA vaccine produces a stronger immune response, and because of the low but serious risk of vaccine-induced blood clots associated with getting AstraZeneca.

NACI has as of today recommended AZ not be used for dose 2 .. and mRNA used for 2nd shot for those who has AZ for 1st shot .. based on evidence of increased protection

Canada has moved from way behind on doses to a world leader now - and climbing even faster ... increased further by higher delivery of both and US just gave 1 million Moderna to Canada



By far the most are RNA & in most cases, Pfizer .. I was amazed to find that in many areas we are ahead of UK who is having steadily & noticeably increasing cases  .. 11,000 today after being in the 2,000s 3 weeks ago .... also I believe they used mostly AZ .. and 2 x  AZ for those with 2 shots



an mRNA booster is a very good plan



Seems parts of the US are having trouble delivering locally fast enough to keep up to targets
