Frood

She's 15-16 years old...

...she's behaving like a kitten meowing whether you feed her... let her in or outside....often seconds apart

..

The Cat Dementia is strong in her...

So I proposed a peaceful death....but oh noes....that is not apparently cool... putting her in a sack with food, hooked up to a tail pipe spewing carbon monoxide is a horrific death....

WE MUST PAY HUNDREDS FOR AN INJECTION AT THE VET.... and we can't get an appointment for weeks...

If I was living in North America still, she would get the old pork chop in a shallow grave treatment.... click bang... over!

I'm sickened by how pussified Australians have gotten....
Blahhhhhh...

caskur

I put my last cat down when she was 20...

One of my sisters cat is now over 20 and the cat had a stroke 5 years ago...

The cat I have now is 17-18 going strong...

Look after your cat you silly fool. I do not for one second think your vet is booked for weeks.

Take it to a cat haven for the injection.

My cat is getting old too..

We lost our dog last year and it was heartbreaking watching her suffer....she died without assistance.

You can surrender it or do the dash,I lived at a flop house and one night a buddy of mine didnt wanna disturb anyone in his drunken stupor and decided to crawl thru the window not noticing the fresh litter of kitties crushed ones head ,so me and the girl at the time walked the suffering kitty with blood coming out its nose to the closest open vet clinic .. yadda yadda , vet wanted cash to put down someone elses kitty ,so I devised a plan for the weepy girl to weep us outta the clinic, where we bolted with some of their kitty food free of charge..

Ended up having to do it again with another one of their kitties..fridge door ,cat head, crunch ,so again I was the only responsible one capalble of pulling of the feat

Your cats just a geriatric as will you be and the most terrifying age since its when we all lose our faculties, Its just being lippy cuz its scared and if you didnt know a cats meow is what they interperate our cummunication to be and adapted their language souly to communicate with humans

RIP floofs

I can't relate, I have no pets. My gf has an indoor cat.

Blazor

All your cat is doing is meowing? Kitty just communicating with you, humans are the only ones they will meow with. I say let the kitty live. Perhaps get kitty some of that Feliway? That stuff calms them.

I dont like putting an animal down til they are suffering or something. Even then I have a hard time doing so. They become like my children in a way lol.

Vet here, will put the cat down, AND cremate them, put the ashes in a nice tin, and make a ceramic disc with their paw print in it and name.... all for $200.
I've come here to chew bubble gum, and kick ass. And I'm all out of bubblegum.

When it comes time to put down our cat, we want to minimize his suffering. If it costs money, so be it.

Frood

On principle, I won't pay...

...killing is easy... but they've managed to turn it into a trade...
Blahhhhhh...

I will not pay to have cats or dogs put down. My dogs and semi feral and my cats are pure wild.

Our kitty is awesome. If she doesn't seem right physically, she goes to a vet. If it's the end of her life she'll get a kitty version of palliative care.

If it's financially practicable, we'll do that with our cat.

My wife and I do that too. We don't have kids. Our cat is our fur baby.

Gaon

We left our cat behind in Israel when we came to Canada. My little girl still has not forgiven us for that.

It's not my fcking cat...

And since I originally posted this, that loopy fcking cat is now constantly crawling up on countertops, furniture, and sleeping in cabinets...

Yelling at her only works for about 5 seconds, then she forgets all over again....

I'm going to have to quietly take matters into my hands...

If she shits along the walkways one more time, it's curtain call for her...
