51 Recovered Coronavirus Patients Test Positive Again In South Korea



At least 51 patients diagnosed as having fully recovered from the coronavirus in South Korea have tested positive a second time after leaving quarantine, according to officials.



The patients from Daegu all tested positive in a "relatively short time" after they were given the all-clear from their initial infections, the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (KCDC) said, according to the government-funded Yonhap News Agency.



A specialist team has been sent to conduct an epidemiological investigation in the city, which is the epicenter of the epidemic in South Korea, the agency says.



For now, the KCDC's director-general, Jeong Eun-kyeong, believes it is likely the infection was re-activated after remaining dormant in the patients, as opposed to them being reinfected, the report said.

How are scientists supposed to develop a vaccine if people don't become immune.

I have wondered for a while if lupus and arthritis problem patients who have been taking it regularly got virused



If they cannot, it would then be in effect a vaccine



I'm having problem loading the Oz video from the link - it doesn't start for me - I assume that's where the stuff on lupus is?

More "striking" evidence has emerged that the BCG vaccine given to counter TB may provide protection against Covid-19 and significantly reduce death rates in countries with high levels of vaccination.



A study of 178 countries by an Irish medical consultant working with epidemiologists at the University of Texas in Houston shows countries with vaccination programmes – including Ireland – have far fewer coronavirus cases by a factor 10, compared to where BCG programmes are no longer deployed.

I saw Dr Oz say that politics is suppressing clinical results from hydroxychloroquine. Would hydroxychloroquine be suppressed if it had not been brought up at a white house press conference. In fact, the president would be criticized for ignoring science.

Trudeau said today there will be no return to normal until a vaccine is available which we are told will be eighteen months. If he means a continuation of the economic lockdown, we will turn into a Venezuela by that time. Thankfully, the provinces will decide when the economy opens up.
