Israel has a low death rate from the virus.

Yes. Deaths / Case rate is in fact 0.74% / case (or 1 in every 135 cases) ... (Far better than those 15 1st world  major countries and provinces  I track & likely the best in the world)

BTW - Alberta has a low rate - Denmark is the only country  that I track as coming even close to it Israel

And a per capita infection rate of 5.62% = 1 in every 18 people have or have had it (possibly the highest infection rate in the world)

With the rapid pace at which Israelis are being vaccinated, in less than one month, they should be in good shape compared to the rest of the global community.

True.

WE     are always the best in the world in every constructive area

BTW - Do you know which vaccine or vaccines  they are using?

In terms of distribution, Israeli teams have repacked Pfizer's large ultra-frozen pallets into insulated boxes the size of small pizzas, allowing doses to be delivered in smaller numbers and at more remote sites.

The technique, Israel says, got the green light from Pfizer.

Health Minister Yoel Edelstein said in a statement on Dec. 28, that Israel is the first country to repackage the doses into more easily transportable containers that allow the country to move the vaccines outside of hospitals and into more accessible clinics.

"This way we will reach everywhere around the country without losing precious vaccines and Israel will be the leading country worldwide in vaccination," Edelstein said.

Israel has set up 150 vaccine clinics across the country, as well as sports arenas and conference centres to act as "super sites" for inoculations. Haifa, a coastal city in Israel, even set up a drive-in vaccination site, where citizens can roll up in their vehicles and receive a vaccine without taking off their seatbelts.

NOTE: They have been doing it so fast that are in danger of running out for a while

Further to  2 other candidates in final testing, this means all Canadians will get vaccinated sooner than earlier predicted

This gives you a rough idea of when you will be vaccinated.

That looks similar to Alberta's targets, and I assume, most provinces.

Alberta has made vast improvements to it's contact tracing system.

Manitoba's red level COVID-19 restrictions were supposed to be a sort of circuit breaker, only lasting two to four weeks — but the partial lockdown has now reached eight weeks and counting.

On Friday, the Manitoba government extended the red level restrictions for at least two more weeks. The only change made allows Winnipeg-based professional hockey teams to train and play, and exempts the players from having to self-isolate after travel.

Manitoba had under 100 cases(92) today and eight deaths. The government here doesn't really want to end the lockdown until spring when more people are vaccinated and when more people can go outside and enjoy milder weather.

I think after the travel scandal, Premier Kenney is scared to lift our lock down.

I believe he'll extend it beyond January 21.
