We had 244 cases and eleven deaths. That would be like Alberta getting one thousand cases and forty four deaths considering we have one quarter their population.

Chinese Citizens Decry New Anal Swab Testing for COVID-19



Beijing and other Chinese regions have recently begun conducting anal swab tests on people, claiming that they can more accurately detect COVID-19 than the more commonly used nasal swabs.



Chinese people expressed concerns about the new testing method—sometimes done in front of others at quarantine centers—saying it is an invasion of privacy and also extremely uncomfortable.



This week, several Chinese local governments talked about performing anal swabs for nucleic acid testing, in addition to nasal swabs, on "key groups" who are suspected of having contracted  the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus.



The new test was first introduced in Beijing, the country's capital.
