As of May 28, 2021, approximately 38.9 million people in the United Kingdom had received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccination.



and according to the latest data around 24.4 million people had received their second dose of the immunization.



Population is 68 million + .. so just over 1/3 are fully vaccinated



I had thought it was higher

Canada's current efforts to identify COVID-19 variants, especially that of Delta B.1.617, may not be enough to truly track its spread across the country, according to several experts.



According to Dr. Laurence Pelletier, a researcher from the Lunenfeld-Tanenbaum Research Institute at Mount Sinai Hospital, public health units across the provinces are, for the most part, not equipped with testing equipment that can fully sequence or identify some COVID-19 variants.



One such variant of concern is that of the Delta B.1.617, which was first discovered in India. Speaking with Global News Friday, both Pelletier and Mount Sinai co-researcher Dr. Jeff Wrana said that the number of mutations in the Delta variant made it very difficult for tests to properly identify it.

We can certainly spot it as Covid, but we are lacking the tools to nail the Indian variant as such as it replaces other variants rapidly



It's reason to be a problem child  is not so much severity, rather it is more highly transmissible than other variants combined with difficulty to identify it as such  may affect Ontario & Australia opening up I read ..  if not other places as well

Nothing prevents a covid infection... but I do take Vitamin D, Zinc, and Vitamin C...

D, Zinc, C are a good start .. not for prevention which only vaccines do for most, but a good start on fighting symptoms if infected



Since early in this thing I have been taking those + a couple of other things that hospitals apply to further a jump start if infected

At best, they may reduce the severity of symptoms for some.

Look at the inbound vaccinated hospital patient percentages... aside from none of the drug companies producing these injections willing to go on record to say their drugs prevent infection or transmission...



It is literally out in the open...
