We set another record for cases yesterday-506. To put that into perpective, that would be like BC getting 2500 cases in one day.

I just scrolled down my spreadsheet, and you guys have risen by various numbers (small and larger) every one of the past 9 weeks

We are staying about the same last few weeks,  - around 680 / day

Alberta had 1,609 new cases, and 24 deaths today..

The mayor of Calgary is blaming the provincial government, but our reopening was tied to vaccinations that health officials like Theresa Tam said were sufficient.

Our premier has reluctantly implemented a vaccine passport system that will come into effect on Monday September 20..

Businesses like restaurants, and fitness centres will have a choice....close or stay open and check patrons for proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test..

I'll be downloading proof of vaccination cards for my family on before Monday.

Alberta has declared a hospital emergency.

It's a state of public health emergency to protect our health care system. Still nothing on treatments that could move thios from a pandemic to an endemic.

We've put all our eggs in the vaccine basket.

Scott Moe opposes vaccine passports too. But, he will give in just like Kenney and Ford.

There's a long queue on the Alberta myhealthrecords website for vaccine cards..

Even if I don't have it by Monday, I can temporarily use a picture of the paper I got for my doses.

It's our turn. Scott Moe announced plans for masking and vaccine passports.

We are 706 (about average for past 2 weeks) & 4 today

We remain well below  average in deaths / case over last 10 weeks at 1 in 188 cases

I'm not getting cocky as this beast can bite hard at times

While best in the west, our cases total per day are close to ON & QB

I don't understand why so many people are getting so sick in this 4th wave. We were consistently above 2000 cases a day in the third, but people weren't getting as sick. Saskatchewan has more cases per day on average than we have, but they're not getting as sick. Florida has more cases per capita, but they're not getting as sick.
