I watched a Faces Of Death video one night over a plate of goulash. I remember one of the scenes was of a Japanese party beating the utter shit out of a monkey's head poking through a hole in the dinner table before a man sliced to top of the monkey's head off and they all dined on the monkey's still living brain.
The goulash? It was absolutely delicious.
The Japanese don't eat monkey brains.
I've seen the movie...The diners are not Japanese. The monkey scene appears to take place in a Middle Eastern Cafe. The patrons are either caucasian or of middle eastern ethnicity.
The video is ancient going back to the late 1970s. I remember hearing about and then seeing it when I was in High School. There is a lot of controversy whether or not many of the scenes are real or staged...There seems to be no consensus of which it is. The monkey brain scene seems especially contrived but it is horrifying and nauseating nonetheless.
I saw one of those Faces of Death HHS videos when I was in grade seven. The video was already old back then.
It was not that gory. I remember it showed a grainy video execution from France using a guillotine.
