It's not pleasant.  I've trucked through Death Valley /Mojave a few times when the heat was mid 40's+...  It pushed every component in the truck to its limits:  Axle temps, tranny temp, coolant temp, oil temp, and oddly enough the air conditioning had a bad habit kicking out in those conditions also.

It boggles my mind why people even live out there.

The big thermometer in Baker California is near Furnace Creek. When I was there it was 105F (40C?). There is nothing there save a few gas stations and fast food joints. The place is literally Hell.

It's in the mid 40's for a number of weeks here every year.

I will always remember that big thermometer...  Parked my rig near there super early in the morning once, because I was driving all night, and hopped in the sleeper.  Woke up in the afternoon drenched in sweat, because the god damned A/C system crapped out, which it did if it got hot enough.  The sleeper was like a fucking greenhouse, but really more like a literal oven.  Stumbled out, looked at the big thermometer, and it read something like 110.  Stumbled into that gas station to rehydrate.

It is hell out there, especially if you're super White like me!

Then you should have a pretty good idea of what Death Valley feels like...
