I see cajun cooking is considered "Southern" too.

If I went to the South Eastern USA, I wouldn't know what to order in a restaurant.

Try the "souse", it's delicious...  :sneaky2:

Cabbage soup, cabbage sandwich, sour cabbage..

If you are feeling adventurous, you may use potato instead of cabbage.

A lot more to Ukrainian grub than that pickled herring eater.

Lynyrd Skynard would be ashamed with this statement.

I'm sure Van Zant, Rossington and co would like paska, borscht, varenyky, holubtsi, and deruni.

Well, one of my faves aint on the list, fried chicken lol. I also like a nice pot of pinto beans that have a ham bone in it and some ham, with some corn bread on the side. Fried catfish, Cajun shrimp, or some gumbo with sausage, shrimp and scallops in it. Lets see, a lot are more like comfort foods. Tacos are my favorite, but they are more South of the border Southern lol. Anything fried lol, like deep fried Oreos lol. Lots of other things I think of, I would think would be not just down South. Lets see, some pulled pork BBQ. Fried squash or fried green tomatoes. Fried pork chops. Im serious about the fried thing lol. Anything cooked over a fire is always nice, like amazingly good, and I dont see that much up North either. Could be hot dogs, or a pot of chili beans lol. Wood makes it good. Oh, country ham, LOVE some country ham. I CRAVE it this time of year.

I would say my favourite Southern food would be the way they smoke and barbeque meat.
