It's a busy weekend aint it. I call it Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Nah, the old lady has some Chink new years goodies in mind.

Happy year of the ox Fash, Shen Li, Zetsu, and Priscilla. Maybe Azhya too. I don't know if Filipinos celebrate that festival or not.

The Philippines is close to China.....and a fair number of people in that country have Chinese ancestry..



I don't know if it's a national holiday, but I'm sure a lot people celebrate it just like here in Canada.

We have fish, dumplings, Mom's famous spring rolls, good fortune fruit, rice cake and rice balls. Plus Great Wall wine. Woo hoo.  ac_dance  :yahoo:

Koreans celebrate Chinese New Year, but they call it Lunar New Year, or Seollal. I love duk kuk which is a customary food for New Year's celebrations.

I am biased, but my heritage aside, Korean soups are the best soups.

Happy Chinese New Year.Year of the ox. The last 20 years I've been in a sports bar somewhere, celebrating with friends. Not this year.
