As much as some countries complain about the USA being the world's policeman, their withdrawal from the world is much more worrisome.

The US has been slowly decoupling from Asia. No troops in the Philippines, reduced troop counts in Korea and Japan, fewer naval visits to Asia. Meanwhile China's military has grown more sphisticated and the CCP more bold.

Moscow developed an alternative messaging system, known as SPFS. However, SPFS has struggled to establish itself in international transactions - with no other system in the world rivaling that of SWIFT.
