All Leftist ideologies use the "common good" excuse not just to justify the personal perfidy of Leftist politicians, but the tyrannical nature of all Leftist policies themselves.  All Leftist policy prescriptions subsume the liberty of the individual to this fairy tale notion of the "common good."
