What? You're not thinking about liver with a fava beans and a Chianti on a rainy day surely?

Rainy dayz = Kinky dayz!!! Chips, dips, chains and whips!

The surf is flat as a tack. It's going to rain all day. It's Sunday and I've decided to have a long weekend. Which means only one thing as of now:

It's going to be a

Had to front up to work in order to empty a 2 degree room and place things on higher ground....

Owners are freaking out about the rains...

Where I am, it seems more inland this time around luckily enough. It's just a waiting game. If the owner decides to sell and we buy, I want at least a 100k knocked off the asking price so I can build a deck above the flood zone. The wet is shitting me to tears. We've had to mop the ceilings with bleach to get rid of mould growth. Every wooded surface has growth too.

"Onlyfans professional"?

"Escort"??

And I suppose a murderer is a "heart stopper" and a pedophile is a "minor attracted person".

These assholes making up new words inorder to feel better about themselves.

I'm feeling really sad. RIP CC.

Edit, now I don't know.

We dodged a bullet up this way today, but it still could happen in the next day. The BOM forecasting is a bit hit or miss.

Went for a walk through the trails with my daughters.

We were talking about how we are glad we dont live in an area with bear and grizzly bears. And Squish was on her "what if" and "why" loop.

So Squish goes "But WHAT IF a bear came jumping out" and I said well.....I'd have to attack it and Gee Gee would grab you and run because I cant let a bear kill my kids"

And my other daughter says "What? I cant let a beat kill my mom!" And I told her she absolute CAN let the bear kill me and that's exactly what she needs to do.

And then we had an argument I'm kinda glad we had where I expressed that if we end up in a situation where I have to throw myself between them and death, that they need to GTFO immediately. Go get help and if I'm still alive, I'm still alive.  But if I'm putting myself in that situation so they would live, the best way they can help me is actually go and live.

I dont find it sweet or cute that my daughter would stay and try to fight off a bear rather than bolting away because she doesnt want her mom to die. I get not wanting your mom to die but it's our instincts to make sure our kids dont die. And if she sticks around and dies anyway shes dishonoring me and violating my instincts. And wasting my perfectly reasonable sacrifice.

I had to take it there to convince her lol.

Thankfully the worst threats we face walking around here are possible rabid raccoons, maybe a coyote. It's very rare but mountain lions have been spotted around here (but they get caught and moved). All the black bear are up north....way up north.

An angry stray dog or a human criminal is the most likely.

But I really wanted to hammer in what I expect from them in a scenario like that.  If my kid decides to be a dumb little shit and stick around to fight a threat along with me I wont be pleased at all. Especially with the baby of the family right there (which was the main selling point for her. Get her baby sister the fuck on outta there).

My daughter is a total bruiser. Shes solid and insanely strong.  My oldest used to torment her for fun and I would always tell her "if she snaps and pounds the shit out of you....dont cry to me for help".  I always had a rule that i never got involved in any issues my children had with eachother.  I just remind them that I'll be dead one day and theyll be left with eachother so they need to love eachother. And they do. They have a really good relationship.

As tough as she is, the thought of her trying to fight off a threat rather than running really touched several nerves.  I may as well start carrying a gun when we go off on nature walks just in case we get confronted with something dangerous and my kid gets stupid and tries to "protect" ME. I guess I just assumed that if anything like that happened I'd handle it and they would run to safety. Never occured to me she would try to stay and fight as to not "let" something kill me.

 It's truly an awful thought.

Thats cute lol.

We have black bears here, I've been attacked by one. Im sure you remember the story I told lol.

The truth about a black bear, you cant outrun one. They can run up to 35mph. You cant climb a tree, cause they can climb a tree in seconds.

When approached by a black bear, you need to make yourself as BIG and as LOUD as possible!!! That bit of knowledge is what saved me.

Always check your rear, they can walk so softly, like a ninja, that they can sneak up on you. A dude once told me, if not for his dog, he would of never known.

NEVER, above all, get in between a momma and her cub. You see a mom and cub, get out there ASAP.

I always pack my pistol when I go camping. Dont usually when I hike, though I should, though I legally cant. You have to have a concealed license, unless its hunting season. Even though Virginia is an open carry state. Also Obama passed a law where you could carry in national forest land, but its a specific type of forestry so it makes the law confusing. Plus all these other bullshit laws. Which stomps on my rights. I shouldnt need shit to carry my pistol.
I've come here to chew bubble gum, and kick ass. And I'm all out of bubblegum.

The best thing to do is have a gun. If the bear is enraged it's not gonna run from you.

And you never actually know if you've approached cubs....it happens to people pretty fast.

 Bears are terrifying.

I do have a CCP    but I have decided to fuck off unreasonable gun laws. We all should.
