I poasted there sporadically, but I wouldn't call myself a "regular".

Their very first forum was real early-days social media code (can't remember which platform); EvilBlood and I literally broke that fledgling forum by quote-Flaming each other until the site collapsed under the weight of our verbiage.

BH didn't look badass at all. In fact, it was super dead. However, that was right before the owner of it pulled the pin on the place. Speaking of which, who owned BH?

We had a get-together in Connecticut of some folk from the WebTV newsgroups back in 1998 and I had already been on Usenet before I even heard of a WebTV.



BH probably started around that same time I guess, give or take a few years.

Not really.

I wasn't around that much though... I spent considerably more time away from BH than I did poasting there.

As somebody who had access to an Admins panel there (LoCo's) I can tell you with 100% certainty the owner didn't "pull the pin" on the place.

You do know BH was more then just a flame forum, yes? And that the porn was living its best life right up until Doomsgays credit card started declining, right?

There were always at least 200 human beings on BH right up until it 404'd. Throw in the bots and double that. The place was a top 20 site on Alexa for four years. SG was hitting 5k on Alexa during the Summer of Poofer. There's your context on how big BH was.



Was Flamers Hall dead? Sure. It was over run with complete tards towards the end and resembled the shit posting that's prevalent currently and nobody wanted to be associated with shit posters.
