This is good I think.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration banned the dye known as Red 3 from the nation's food supply in January, setting deadlines for stripping the brightly hued additive from candies and cough syrup, baked goods and frozen treats.

The agency said it was taking the action because studies found that the dye, also known as erythrosine, caused cancer in lab rats. A federal statute requires FDA to ban any additive found to cause cancer in animals, though officials stressed that the way Red 3 leads to cancer in rats doesn't happen in people.

An arm of the Presbyterian Church in America, is repenting for posting guidance to help illegal immigrants elude detainment.

Last week, Mission to North America — a resource and mission arm of the PCA — received intense backlash on social media after people noticed a page on its website dedicated to assisting illegal immigrants to dodge authorities and immigration enforcement.

In an FAQ section of the since-deleted resource page, the MNA advised illegal immigrants "not to carry documentation showing your country of origin" and, if contacted by immigration authorities, to "show an identity document that does not include your country of birth or citizenship."

The page even coached immigrants on how to decrease their chances of being deported if detained.

"If you were granted parole or have been in the U.S. for less than two years and you fear returning to your home country, tell the officer you are afraid to go back," the page said. "You should get a Credible Fear Interview as a result. If the officer denies your Credible Fear Interview, ask for the chance for an immigration judge to review your fear."

Are you ready for a made-in-the-USA Porsche?

It could happen. Thanks to President Trump's planned import tariffs, Porsche parent company Volkswagen is considering moving production of some vehicles to its Chattanooga, Tennessee, plant.

An investment group led by Elon Musk has offered $97.4 billion to buy the nonprofit that controls OpenAI, a company Musk help found.

OpenAI was founded by Musk and entrepreneur Sam Altman as a nonprofit in 2015, but is now looking to transition to for-profit, which Musk opposes for cybersecurity reasons.

"It's time for OpenAI to return to the open-source, safety-focused force for good it once was," Musk said in a statement on February 10, per Reuters.

Musk added, "We will make sure that happens."

Apple is committing $500 billion to the U.S. economy in a historic initiative, the company announced on Monday, marking "an extraordinary new chapter in the history of American innovation."

Apple's 11-figure commitment will roll out over the next five years. It will involve building an advanced AI server manufacturing factory near Houston, as well as doubling the company's Advanced Manufacturing Fund from $5 billion to $10 billion.

The tech giant also plans to establish an Apple Manufacturing Academy in Detroit, as well as hire 20,000 new employees with focuses on research and development, silicon engineering, artificial intelligence and machine learning.

Apple also plans to expand teams and facilities in numerous states, including Michigan, Texas, California, Arizona, Nevada, Iowa, Oregon, North Carolina and Washington. In a statement, Apple CEO Tim Cook said that his company is "bullish on the future of American innovation."

The announcement comes two days after President Donald Trump alluded to the tech giant's plans, saying that the company planned to invest "hundreds of billions of dollars" in the United States.

Same.
If I feel like cookies I'll bake some.
The only time I buy candy is Halloween.
I have a hot-air popper (and melt real butter) for when I want a bowl of popcorn.

Dyes, flavorings, and preservatives are not our friends.
