Phoenix removes bogus 'NAMBLA' political signs; origins remain mysterious



PHOENIX (AZFamily) — The City of Phoenix has begun removing a series of political street signs that falsely link two Democratic state legislative candidates to a group that advocates for sexual relationships between men and underage boys.

The signs falsely claim the candidates were endorsed by the North American Man/Boy Love Association. Not only are the claims on the signs bogus, but so are the groups listed as the signs' sponsors.

None of the groups are registered as political action committees in Arizona. The signs also don't include a telephone number or website, as required by Arizona's political sign law.

After an investigation, the City of Phoenix confirmed the signs are in violation of Phoenix City Code, so an inspector has been assigned to remove the signs, said spokeswoman Teleia Galaviz.

Criminal defense attorney Jason Lamm said the signs raise several legal questions.

"There are potential civil remedies. There are potential criminal remedies. But before any remedy could be imposed, it needs to be established – who put up the sign?" he said.

A top adviser in the Harris-Walz presidential campaign admitted that the lead reported in the media for Vice President Kamala Harris was fake.

David Plouffe made the revealing comments on the "Pod Save America" podcast over the weekend.

He went on to say the lead reported in polling for Harris had melted away in more recent surveys because it was never really substantive.

"I think the freakout is because there were a bunch of polls, I'd say in the last month, that showed a lead for Kamala Harris that was not real. It's not what we were seeing — we've seen this thing basically be tied let's say since mid-September," Plouffe continued.

Fox released a poll showing Trump leading in the popular vote 50 to 48 vs Harris. But, the same poll revealed Trump is losing in the swing states by six points. That isn't even possible.

Trump winning the popular vote, but losing the electoral college. That is a new scenario.
