Muhammad was the most popular name for boys born in the United Kaliphate in 2014. :woodoo:  

What do British authorities think when they hear this news? What do they think Britain will be like in twenty or thirty years? Do they think that all these Muhammads will grow up to be upstanding, loyal British subjects with portraits of Maajid Nawaz on their walls? Does it ever occur to them that some of them might end up embracing the "extremism" that they are so confident that Muslims in Britain do not hold — despite the evidence of hundreds and hundreds of young Muslims leaving Britain to join the Islamic State?



Do David Cameron and Theresa May ever ponder the fact that nothing is being done, beyond cosmetic gestures and half-measures, to prevent young Muslims in the U.K. from becoming "extremists"? Do they ever consider the possibility that future generations of free Britons, if there are any, will remember the names of those who did this to their country?

For years Muhammad has been racing up the chart of the country's most popular baby names – and now he has been joined by his sisters Nur and Maryam.



The two girls' names have been among the most popular of 2014, according to website BabyCentre.



The data shows a surge in Arabic names in the UK this year, with Omar, Ali and Ibrahim all entering the boys' top 100 for the first time.



For girls, Maryam has shot up 59 places to number 35, while Nur is a new entry in the girls' top 100, jumping straight to number 29.



And Muhammad has risen an astonishing 27 places compared to last year to claim the number-one spot for boys.

Is Muhammad really the most popular baby name?



But the figures from BabyCentre combine all the variations of spellings for a single name in their top 100 list - so boys named Muhammad, Mohammed and Mohammad, for example, are listed under a single name, unlike the Office for National Statistics, which lists variations on spellings.



These particular statistics released today come from the names chosen by 56,157 BabyCentre.co.uk members who gave birth in 2014.



But ONS statistics paint a very different picture. Because the official body doesn't lump together diminutives or alternative spellings, Oliver comes out on top as the most popular boys name.



There was though a surge in Arabic names generally, according to the baby website, with Nur a new entry in the girls' top 100, jumping straight to number 29, and Maryam rising 59 places to number 35 in the list. Omar, Ali, and Ibrahim are all new to the boys' top 100. The year's biggest riser within the girls' top 100 was Maryam.



Biblical,and traditional Jewish names are also high on the top boys' names list, which includes Noah, Jacob, Joshua and Ethan.



The actual ONS statistics, compiled from final annual births registration data and including all live births occurring in England and Wales, said Oliver and Amelia were the most popular names.



In that data, Muhammad comes 15th, Mohammed comes 23rd, and Mohammad comes 57th.



Added together, the names overtake the top name, 6,949 babies were named Oliver, and 7,445 named various spellings of Mohammad.



However, the name Ollie is also in the top 100, number 80 in the list.



If the 'Ollies' are added to the 'Olivers', it again becomes the most popular name, with 7,749 babies named this way.

I was curious on the ACTUAL NUMBERS and Huff delivered.  Is that biased reporting?  Is there a slant in their actual numbers?  Many other media sources failed to disclose said numbers or how variations were used to pad their counts while excluding variations of other names.  That reeks of a bias to me moreso than providing an actual count by name.

The anglicization of the name means fuck all. We know who the future jihadi is named after and it isn't a member of the Brit royal family. CC is right, Huffpo is trying to convince us all is good with the religion of peace, but is failing miserably.
