What is the one gun you would like to shoot?

I would recommend an AR-15 as they have fairly light recoil due to the small caliber and low powder charge. For example:

1. AR-15 round shoots a .22 caliber round that weighs about 60 grains has 5.48 foot/lbs of recoil. It feels even softer though due the the auto loading design of the AR-15 soaking up some of that recoil.

2. 300 Winchester Magnum shoots a 30 caliber at 180 grains has 25.9 foot/lbs of recoil and would pummel your lady shoulder into splinters. I generally shoot 1 box of 20 rounds from my bolt action rifle at the range and I feel a bit sore later that day. Since this weapon is bolt action, I get ALL the recoil and only the butt pad softens it barely.

You could also fire a .22LR which is like shooting a BB gun but why bother? You can just shoot a BB gun.

I sport shoot and murder the furry woodland creatures on the family farm as part of pest control. I own most of what I do in prep for a SHTF situation, when someone on the internet decides to follow through with their death threats against me, or for when someone tries to rob me.
My husband doesn't hunt but he has several close friends that do.....they give us venison, elk, some years moose and pronghorn antelope, pheasant, and ruffed grouse.....we love love wild game in our house.

I hear much of it depends on who's cooking it. My step dad was awful at it!

Mule deer have a gamier taste than whitetail. Most folks prefer the midler taste of whitetail venison.
