I went shopping my first full day back from vacation, but I haven't cooked anything yet..



I took chicken soup out of the freezer and warmed it up for supper.

I've never put soup in the freezer.



I guess you can do that.

As long as any creams or dairy products in them can be reheated on a stove top or microwave without curdling. Each thing has its own curdling point.

Me too.... but bone broth is just bone broth unless you add in a substantial amount of vegetables and/or meats..... then it's a either a light or heavy stew.... or if you add in your personal preferences, a soup (pureed of course).



I like putting in beef or lamb bones in a slow cooker for a day on low, refrigerating it overnight, then clarifying the broth. Even better if you roast the bones a little beforehand. Gives it that sooty animalistic base flavour.



But you're you, I'm me, you lean vegetarian and I like me meatz saucesz!

I'm not even close to vegetarian..



We do one day a week without meat..



If I cook chicken, beef, turkey or pork the bones are saved for a both base for soup.

Kid is away... I wasn't hungry. Caramelised a diced up onion and combined with a couple large chopped mushroom caps to absorb the excess butter....put it over a can of Heinz Chunky Pepper and Steak Stew for the wife.



She seems to like this bachelor cuisine....   ac_toofunny
