Apple-approved app labeled a 'beacon for homosexual predators'



The app for Apple's iOS-based phones and tablets is being billed as "the only gay social app approved by the iTunes store for 12-year-olds and older." In other words, it's a hookup device to allow homosexuals – even pre-teens – to connect with others of like mind in a new area. It even provides a map to make driving to a meeting place easier.



Matt Barber, vice president of Liberty Counsel Action, goes to the heart of the matter.



"That Apple would allow an app that essentially facilitates anonymous sexual encounters between boys as young as 12 years old is unconscionable," he says. "But the real concern comes about when you consider that this app is a homosexual predator's dream come true."



Evidently users who fail to disable the default tracking settings on the app will constantly broadcast their location to other users even when they're at home – obviously information predators could take advantage of.



Further illustrating his concern, Barber cites the Archives of Sexual Behavior, a liberal but scientifically credible publication.



"[They found that] 86 percent of offenders against males describe themselves as homosexual or bisexual," he quotes, "and this means, when you crunch the numbers, that from a percentage standpoint homosexual or bisexual men are approximately 10 times more likely to molest children than are heterosexual men."

The so-called study has been widely discredited:



Silverthorne & Quinsey. (2000). Sexual partner age preferences of homosexual and heterosexual men and women. Archives of Sexual Behavior, 29, 67-76.



Silverthorne and Quinsey used a sample of community volunteers who were asked to view pictures of human faces and use a 7-point scale to rate their sexual attractiveness. The apparent ages of the people portrayed in the pictures was originally estimated by Dr. Silverthorne to range from 15 to 50. However, a group of independent raters perceived the male faces to range in age from 18 to 58, and the female faces to range from 19 to 60.



The article doesn't report the data in great detail (e.g., average ratings are depicted only in a graphic; the actual numbers aren't reported) and the authors provide contradictory information about the rating scale (they describe it as a 7-point scale but also say it ranged from 0 to 7, which constitutes an 8-point scale). In either case, it appears that none of the pictures was rated as "very sexually attractive" (a rating of 7). Rather, the highest average ratings were approximately 5.



On average, gay men rated the 18-year old male faces the most attractive (average rating = about 5), with attractiveness ratings declining steadily for older faces. They rated the 58-year old male faces 2, on average. By contrast, heterosexual men rated the 25-year old female faces the most attractive (about 5), with the 18- and 28-year old female faces rated lower (between 2 and 3) and the 60-year old female faces rated the least attractive (about 1).



A serious problem with this study is that the researchers didn't control for the possibility that some of the faces pictured in the photos might simply have been more or less physically attractive than the others, independent of their age or gender. The researchers explicitly acknowledged this shortcoming, speculating that the women's faces in the 25-year old group might have been more attractive than women's faces in the other age groups. But they didn't address the possibility that the attractiveness of the male and female faces may not have been comparable.



This issue could have been addressed in various ways. For example, prior to collecting data, the researchers could have started with a large number of photographs and asked a group of independent raters to evaluate the general physical attractiveness of the face in each photo; these ratings could have been used to select photos for the experiment that were equivalent in attractiveness. Getting independent ratings of experimental stimuli in this way is a common procedure in social psychological research.



Thus, even if one accepts the questionable assumption that this study is relevant, it doesn't support the FRC's contention that gay men are more likely than heterosexual men to be child molesters for several reasons:



The researchers failed to control for the varying attractiveness of the different photos;

all of the faces portrayed in the photos were perceived to be at least 18; and

the study merely assessed judgments of sexual attractiveness rather than the research participants' sexual arousal.

The discovery that former Penn State University defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky has been molesting boys as young as 10 years old – and that university officials including head coach Joe Paterno did not do more to apprehend this predator – has shocked America. Peter LaBarbera, president of Americans For Truth About Homosexuality (AFTAH), said the scandal exposes the continuing problem of homosexual predators in society. He offers the following observations related to the PSU scandal:



Many openly homosexual ("gay") men, like CNN anchor Don Lemon, were molested as boys or experienced abnormally early sexualization. Yet many of these same men do NOT see their boyhood victimization at the hands of homosexual male predators as causing their homosexuality. (This is due partly to the success of the modern "gay" movement that falsely ascribes "gayness" to a person's (innate) identity, and emphasizes the ambiguous notion of "sexual orientation" as opposed to behavior that is sinful, destructive and changeable.)



Thus, how many boy victims of homosexual predator Sandusky will end up believing that being homosexual ("gay") is "who they are"? How many will struggle with sexual identity issues? And how many will be told by LGBT advocates and liberal-minded people just to "accept being gay" as "who they are" because they were "born that way"?



Because the media and academia have largely become apologists for the modern homosexualist movement, they downplay or ignore obvious causative factors in the formation of "gay" identity – including pederastic molestation. CNN's Lemon is a case in point: he is now an "out gay" celebrity, yet few question the absurdity of him not associating the molestation of his youth with his later embrace of homosexuality as a positive identity.



There IS a long history connecting homosexuality to pederasty, and a disproportionate link between homosexuality and pedophilia: why else would so many child molestation victims be boys when only 1-3 percent of the population is homosexual? Since cases of women molesting boys remain rare, if homosexuality were not such a strong factor, nearly all of pedophile victims should be girls, which is far from the case.



Sandusky is married but obviously has a homosexuality (perversion) problem. Yet pro-"gay" liberals will deny any linkage between homosexuality and Sandusky's rape/seduction of boys. In fact, after news of the Penn State scandal came to light, "gay" activists stressed that Sandusky is married and that most pedophile cases involve "straight, married men." However, behavior is what matters – not a person's marital status or self-described "sexual orientation." Sandusky was married but was he really "straight" (sexually or morally)? Some inner demons or life traumas – probably in his own youth – caused him to lust for boys, wrecking untold misery in the lives of his victims. Behavior is the issue, and this was a case of a serial homosexual predator raping boys.

Rachel Lynn Lehnardt confessed to her AA sponsor that she held a naked Twister party for her teen child and friends, showed them porn, and slept with an 18-year-old, deputies said.



A Georgia mother was arrested for throwing a wild, naked Twister party for her teen daughter and her friends after her Alcoholics Anonymous sponsor ratted her out, deputies said.



The crazy night began after Rachel Lehnardt's 16-year-old daughter texted her asking if she could bring friends over "to party," according to a Columbia County Sheriff's Office report.



"Come on, let's party," the 35-year-old mother of five replied.



Lehnardt provided weed and alcohol to the partying teens at her Evans home before joining them in a game of naked Twister, the sponsor told authorities.



The former Mormon Sunday school teacher found an 18-year-old to have a private game with and the two snuck off to a bathroom to have sex, according to the sheriff's report.



The bridal shop employee was still "horny," so she brought her sex toys into the living room and used them in front of the group, according to the police report.



"The party continued" in Lehnardt's hot tub before Lenhardt passed out in her bed, the report said.



She woke up around 3:30 a.m. to find her daughter's 16-year-old boyfriend having sex with her, the sponsor said.



"Her daughter 'felt guilty' because the 16-year-old was 10-inches long and huge, and if she had been able to take it he wouldn't have needed to rape her mother," the sponsor said.



The boy is not facing charges because "there is no evidence of rape" since Lehnardt "refuses to discuss the case," Captain Steve Morris told the Daily News.



A source close to Lehnardt said the rape made her realize that her drinking, which she started doing when she separated from her husband in November, was a problem.



The raucous party also forced Lehnardt to lose custody of her children, ages 4, 6, 8, 10 and 16, on April 6, the sponsor said.



Growing up in the Mormon Church, Lehnardt never touched a drop of alcohol before her husband of 15 years came back from a deployment to Iraq eith Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and anger issues in 2010, the source said.



"People who have never drunk a day in their life tend not to know how to handle their alcohol," the source said.



The party made Lehnardt decide to go sober, and four days later, she met with a woman in Alcoholics Anonymous who she knew from her Mormon church. She spilled the salacious details and reportedly admitted to showing photos of her having sex with her boyfriend to her 16-year-old daughter.



The sponsor, who "struggled" to look like she wasn't judging Lehnardt during the tale, reported the rager to police Friday.



Lehnardt was arrested on two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and was released on $3,200 bond, Morris said.



"Just when you think you've seen everything or heard everything, we find that we haven't," Morris said.



Her attorney, Shawn P. Hammond, told the Daily News that some of the accusations "were exaggerated."



"It's a difficult situation for the entire family," Hammond said. "This mom is attempting to accept responsibility for her conduct and will do everything in her power to make amends to the public and her children and will never allow this conduct to be repeated."



Lehnardt plans to attend counseling and will continue to attend AA meetings, he said.
