Heavens Gate is considered one of the 10 most expensive flops to ever grace the movie screen. Despite it's excellent cast, director Michael Cimino manged to create a depressing, disappointing, bloated, boring and all together unwatchable epic. Most people would rather watch a paint drying contest than have to sit thru the 2-1/2 hours of that awful turd. The only movies that rival it as a shear waste of money and time are IMHO Avatar, Titanic and (forgive me Annie) the entire Star Wars prequel trilogy. All very, very bad films.
