I just got my computer back on again..



I came home and it didnt even boot to Bios.





Fans were on but the USB and display didnt turn on.





I resetted CMOS by removing the battery... And then I unplugged everything and plugged them back in..





Now it works like nothing happened.

I´ve been watching Titanic documentaries.



The women and children first rule might have caused the lifeboats to be lowered half empty.





It takes time to sort people like that and it would make sense to prefer women and children but still pack the lifeboats full with whatever is available.



2nd officer Lightoller took the order as women and children ONLY... He fucked up.





Nowadays there are enough lifeboats for every passenger and the rule is to pack them full with whatever and then lower away.

As a minority writer from a working-class background, I had naively assumed that the supposedly progressive writing world would be receptive to my urban stories populated by people of color (POC), but I quickly learned that only a specific brand of POC story was championed by literary elites: the downtrodden token story (DTS).



A DTS is a story from a "marginalized" writer that traffics in the politically correct POC tropes enforced by the Barnard educated, New Yorker tote bag-wearing dolts who've taken over the publishing landscape like woke weeds. If he is savvy and shrewd, the token writer understands that if he wants to publish, his characters first and foremost must be downtrodden victims, as victimization is the hallmark of the DTS.



The token writer knows that white editors who've only interacted with a handful of POC, yet deem themselves experts of their lived experience, disturbingly get off at the sight of brown suffering, so he'll toss a dash of melanated seasoning into the story—but nothing too spicy. Too much spice, too much fun, and a token character risks losing his sheen of victimization.
