There are bidding wars for rental properties in the GTA(greater Toronto area) extending all the way up to Barrie. I've never seen anything like it.

There have been widespread protests across Cuba. Videos showed mass crowds Cuban demonstrators shouting "libertad" and "patria y vida" (homeland and life, opposite of the regime's "patria o muerte," which means "homeland or death") while waving American flags, an international symbol of freedom embraced by oppressed peoples outside America.

Unbelievable.

Nearly two-thirds of Millennials earning over $100K a year report living 'paycheck-to-paycheck'

High-earning Millennials have a major spending problem.

A new survey conducted by PYMENTS and LendingClub, which analyzed the financial data of roughly 30,000 Americans, found that 60% of Millennials making more than $100,000 a year still said they were living paycheck-to-paycheck, Business Insider reported.

That surprising figure was not far off from the 70% of Millennials in total who reported living paycheck-to-paycheck. Millennials are individuals born between 1981 and 1996.

Business Insider suggested that the Millennials highlighted in the survey are likely HENRYs — which stands for "high earner, not rich yet." This term has come to define the subset of affluent 30-somethings who struggle to balance spending and saving habits.

They often fall victim to lifestyle creep, a phenomenon that occurs when individuals increase their standard of living to match their level of income rather than saving extra money alongside income gains.

https://www.wishtv.com/news/medical/study-smoking-weed-linked-to-aggression/">Over 50 year long Study: Smoking Weed Linked To Aggression

Investigators at King's College in London followed 411 males between the ages of eight and fifty-six years old beginning in 1953 observing them for over 50 years for the purpose of assessing the connection between long-term cannabis use and violence. Violence was defined by two outcomes: criminal convictions and self-reported data.

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Results from a study spanning over five decades found a relationship between marijuana use and violent behavior.

The findings, published in Psychological Medicine, is in contrast with other literature associating smoking with feelings of peacefulness and relaxation.

Investigators at King's College in London followed 411 males between the ages of eight and fifty-six years old beginning in 1953 observing them for over 50 years for the purpose of assessing the connection between long-term cannabis use and violence. Violence was defined by two outcomes: criminal convictions and self-reported data.

Results showed males who smoked weed were 7.1 and 8.9 times more likely to exhibit violence as measured by criminal convictions and self-report compared to those who never smoked. Although the mechanism underlying the relationship is not yet known, lead author Tabea Scholer, MSc speculate the drug may cause "impairments in neurological circuits controlling behavior" This may result in altered neural functioning in a specific part of the brain called the ventrolateral prefrontal cortex, Scholer said in a previous interview.

The ventrolateral prefrontal cortex area is responsible for decision making and behavior inhibition.

"These results provide strong indication that cannabis use predicts subsequent violent offending, suggesting a possible causal effect," authors say in the paper. This evidence may help public health policy makers with issues surrounding marijuana use, they add.

I've read opinions that marijuana makes people passive.

Passive at the moment, often and not for all people a yes. But at time of use is  not what this study is addressing.

What this study is suggesting is that long term use permanently changes / distorts the brain's structure in a way that makes many people many times more susceptible to violence (not so much when they are smoking it, but at any time) - and the more use, the more aggression

And it's a much longer study than most studies (over 50 years) which gives it a lot of credibility

Numbers like 7 - 9X more  aggressive are extremely dramatic. That's a lot of unnecessary hurt for victims & perps
