Biden has cancelled drilling on federal lands. A lot of that drilling was for natural gas. Natural gas prices are soaring. Coincidence? I think not.

David Beasley, the director of the United Nations' World Food Programme, told CNN that a $6 billion donation from the world's top billionaires — like Musk or Amazon founder Jeff Bezos — could immediately save 42 million people from starvation.



"The governments are tapped out. This is why and this is when the billionaires need to step up now on a one-time basis: Six billion dollars to help 42 million people that are literally going to die if we don't reach them," Beasley said.



In response, Musk said he would liquidate $6 billion worth of Tesla stock to finance Beasley's request. However, Musk added that the U.N. would need to prove that every penny donated went toward feeding people.



"If WFP can describe on this Twitter thread exactly how $6B will solve world hunger, I will sell Tesla stock right now and do it," Musk said. "But it must be open source accounting, so the public sees precisely how the money is spent."



In response, Beasley said his comments were mischaracterized. In fact, $6 billion would not solve world hunger, he said.

The Ontario government will raise the province's minimum wage to $15 an hour on Jan. 1, 2022, sources have confirmed to CBC News..



Currently, the minimum wage in Ontario is $14.35..



The Ontario government will also hike the $12.55 minimum wage for workers who serve alcohol and receive tips to $15..



Following these increases, the minimum wage will increase every October according to the inflation rate.

I don't know where I stand on minimum wage increases. They are a problem for small business owners if they are too big too fast. But, low wages suck.

I was a waitress in a Chinese restaurant for five years..



I know hard it is to make ends meet in a family owned business..



I earned more with my tips on Friday nights than the owners..



A high minimum wage is destroying our tipping culture too.
