Argentina reached a $45bn debt deal with IMF. Seems this happens at least once a decade.

Why is that?

One word-socialism.

It's one thing after another.

I finished my last trip at 1 pm. That will be it until the lockout is over.

Gas is through the roof, inflation is wreaking havoc, people are watching war on the evening news and railroaders decide to go on strike at this particular moment? People know how well railroaders have it and the people won't be sympathetic if things get even worse because of them. Better end this one quick.

Have you heard anything from your union about how long this will last IHJ?

I know their contract was up, but this aint the time to be demanding big things. They should accept a two year contract with without many company concessions.

Like, you said railroaders have a good deal. Decent pay, good time off, great pension, excellent extended medical/dental benefits. It is as good of a work-life balance a guy or gal with only a high school diploma will get in Canada.

You are right, this could backfire on the union and Trudeau too.

Potash mines in Saskatchewan will stop operations if this lasts more than a few days.

The work stoppage at CP Rail could not have come at a worse time for Canadians and the government wants a deal to end the impasse immediately, said federal Labour Minister Seamus O'Regan.

But O'Regan was not ready to discuss the possibility of back to work legislation being tabled when the House of Commons resumes Monday because the company and union are still talking.

"We want a resolution and we want it now," O'Regan said in an interview Sunday afternoon.

Good news.

Canadian Pacific Railway Ltd. and the union representing 3,000 conductors, engineers and train and yard workers say they have agreed to final and binding arbitration to end a work stoppage.

Workers will return to the job at noon local time Tuesday.
