That would be so awesome Crow. When I worked in South America I would see flocks of giant Amazon parrots flying over my camp.

RW

You guys have stunningly beautiful song birds.

I think I saw that breed of parrot in a pet store recently. Do you have cockatoos in your part of Australia?

Bricktop

Yes. Cockatoos are widespread, although only the white variant live in semi-urban areas. Black cockatoos only live in the bush. Some are very rare, and seeing a pair (they are always in pairs) in the outback is a real excitement. They aren't rare, but infrequent.

Black cockatoos? I didn't know. Isn't affirmative action a wonderful thing. :laugh3:

Bricktop

Well, they are a minority, heavily protected, and don't mix with the whites.

Bricktop

A yellow variety...

I did not know that Crow. I prefer the whites and it is not because I am a prairie redneck. :laugh3:

Whites are legion here. If you were sitting on our rear porch, I could guarantee you a white in an hour.

We have one that nests nearby, and the first time I saw it, I thought it was a B52 doing a low pass. His wingspan was at least a metre!!!

Actually, I'll snap a white in the next day or so and show you.

I might be in Costa Rica by then, but I will take a look when I get back.

Bricktop

OK.

And we expect pictures from CR as well!!!

Especially the surf chicks.

And remember your age.

RW

What about the front of your house?  Don't you have any fun song birds in the bushes there?
