I thought fast food might be a little more palatable up there because if I understand correctly, you are one of those countries that  have made using GMOs illegal? I always attributed the presence of food-like products to the low quality of our foodstuffs.

Four GE crops are widely grown in Canada: canola. corn. soy. sugar beet (white sugar beet for sugar processing)

We do have them everywhere.  Usually paired with KFC in food courts. I've eaten at one about once. The hamburger they used was just nasty  

They are disgusting for sure.  First time they opened I got excited cause im a huge taco fan....I asked for an all beef taco, no filler ie: beans or rice with gaucamole...when I got it, one half was yucky rice...the other half was beef mixed with rice and gauc was splat right in the center..wtf is that? I gave them 2 more chances after that...but everytime it was filler with no toppings...just nasty.  I make my own tacos.
