One of my best pals growing up in East End Montreal was Ukranian.



I used to try to avoid going to his house because his mother was a right battle-axe (he used to get the Dr. Scholl's sandals on the noggin too often for comfort).



Lost touch with him when his family moved to Saskatchewan.



He was a good guy, that one.
