By 2035, more than half of all "heavy vehicles" sold in California must be electric. In 2022, only 2% of heavy vehicles sold in the U.S. were all-electric.



The state's newly enacted bill will require heavy vehicle manufacturers to ensure that a certain percentage of their trucks are all-electric. The rule requires this for 55% of delivery vans and smaller trucks, 75% of buses and larger trucks, and 40% of tractor-trailers and other big rigs.



Let's see how this bogs down the supply chain.

Oh, bog down it will.  So in California a truck weighing 80,000 lbs loaded could be expected to be run anywhere from 11 to 14 hours/day, but some of them will run 24/7 with team drivers.  I simply don't see how a battery can power a vehicle under these conditions.



Team driving would become a thing of the past, as would be running a truck both day & night shift with two separate employees.

This is going to be a disaster. Be prepared for much higher food prices as so much produce from California is exported to Canada.

California Dems write bill requiring judges to take race into consideration in sentencing so that blacks get lighter sentences than whites or Asians.  It is obviously unconstitutional but Democrats have always been racist idiots.  BTW blacks commit the majority of violent crimes in the US which is why they are over represented in prisons.
