Interesting lyrics, to the beat of Cripple Creek...

T'was back in the Summer of '61

Stonewall  Jackson's fame was won

McDowell  marched across Bull Run

And went back running to Washington

Come the Spring of '62

Down  the Valley Ol' Blue Light flew

At  Kernstown there he picked a fight

And gave Old Abe' a fearsome fright

Rebels  in the Valley, Lincoln cries Alarm

Jackson's in the Valley, all fear to his harm

Jackson's in the Valley, Stonewall is on the loose

Jackson's in the Valley, all hell's a'breaking loose

Down  the Valley and back again

Stonewall's boys did fight win

For two long months and maybe more

We marched, and we fought, then we marched some more

Now we'll raise a rebel yell

And we'll send them Yankees straight to hell

We'll give them grape shot, buck, and ball

We'll march and we'll fight for old Stonewall

We'll march even though our feet are torn

And it's true our clothes are worn

Still we'll keep our muskets primed

For Stonewall's army is full of fight

Banks and Shields, and Freemont too

From our Valley they all withdrew

Jackson swept the Valley clear

And now he marches on McClellan's rear

Jackson's in the Valley, Stonewall is on the loose

Jackson's in the Valley, all hell's a'breaking loose

Jackson's in the Valley, Stonewall is on the loose

Jackson's in the Valley, all hell's a'breaking loose

I'll place my knapsack on my back

My rifle on my shoulder

I'll march away to the firing line

And kill that Yankee soldier

And kill that Yankee soldier

I'll march away to the firing line

And kill that Yankee soldier

I'll bid farewell to my wife and child

Farewell to my aged mother

And go and join in the bloody strife

Till this cruel war is over

Till this cruel war is over

I'll go and join in the bloody strife

Till this cruel war is over

If I am shot on the battlefield

And I should not recover

Oh, who will protect my wife and child

And care for my aged mother

And care for my aged mother

Oh, who will protect my wife and child

And care for my aged mother

And if our Southern cause is lost

And Southern rights denied us

We'll be ground beneath the tyrant's heel

For our demands of justice

For our demands of justice

We'll be ground beneath the tyrant's heel

For our demands of justice

Before the South shall bow her head

Before the tyrants harm us

I'll give my all to the Southern cause

And die in the Southern army

And die in the Southern army

I'll give my all to the Southern cause

And die in the Southern army

If I must die for my home and land

My spirit will not falter

Oh, here's my heart and here's my hand

Upon my country's altar

Upon my country's altar

Oh, here's my heart and here's my hand

Upon my country's altar

Then Heaven be with us in the strife

Be with the Southern soldier

We'll drive the mercenary horde

Beyond our Southern border

Beyond our Southern border

We'll drive the mercenary horde

Beyond our Southern border

So, I'll place my knapsack on my back

My rifle on my shoulder

I'll march away to the firing line

And kill that Yankee soldier

And kill that Yankee soldier

I'll march away to the firing line

And kill that Yankee soldier

Yes, and that is what the song is singing about. The hardships and reasons they fought. My great great grandfather fought defending his homeland. I knew my great great grandmother on my moms side, so its not too far off down the line in my opinion. I wont allow him to be dishonored for doing what was right, no matter what the Lefty Liberals want to say. This song really speaks to me.

Just because it happened 155 years ago, doesnt mean it should be forgotten. That is really not that long ago. More people died in that war than all other American wars combined. Civilians, women and children. Crops burned, to starve them out. THAT is why Lee surrendered. Because of the atrocities and war crimes committed on the civilian folk themselves. There are more songs, that speak about the hunger they endured, and the attacks done upon them.

This is something Im very passionate about lately Fash. I didnt have to be, til the recent attacks upon us. They are changing names of schools, roads, etc, and taking down monuments that honored the dead that valiantly fought, AND they are digging up graves... digging up GRAVES!!!! This is blasphemy! We are being wrongly smeared in the past few years, its an election thing. And people have cowered to the violent mob, trying to appease them, and yet it still fails, the violence continues.

I feel SOMEONE has to speak up, so I do my part best I can. If allowed the time, I would do much more. Im thinking of flying my flag tomorrow, at an interstate overpass. Too many people are scared to speak up. Well, I aint no Soy Boy!!! Im proud of who I am!

If anyone is with me, give me a HELL YEAH!!! or a WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

I know you're passionate about the history of the American Civil War Blazor.....even though it ended more than one and a half centuries ago.

People are forgetting the true reasons we fought though. It infuriates me, that they are trying make everything disappear. Like, their lives meant nothing. Or saying they were all racist slave owners.

Think about it Fash, Im almost a half century myself, so when I was born, it was only 100 years ago, merely twice my lifetime.

But these fuckers, they think "they all dead, and their sons, no one will speak for them". Well, there is still one Confederate that still draws breath!  :punk:

Im surprised you havent been more outspoken about all the attacks on churches and such.

To me, this election, is about good vs evil. The religious folk (Confederates, Christians, Patriots), vs the atheists (BLM, Antifa, arsonists, anarchists).

Though I know, its not entirely like that, that some religious folk on the other side too, and some atheists on the other. But its just an observation I've noticed. These Burn Loot Murder motherfuckers need some Jesus!
