It does for me. It enables me to keep things in scale a little better.



If you look at the previous drawing with the women of different heights and physical builds, it would have been a bitch if I didn't have something to gauge it with.

Yes it can be; especially if you are trying to pull something out of your head and transfer it to paper or canvas.
