Did I ever tell you my first time out west, back in '85, was a long haul hitchhiking ride from Orillia, Ontario, to Burnaby? Five days, six nights, with trucker Bob.



It was awesome. I still have all the old pix, too.

I live in Barrie, Ontario, just down the road from Orillia. I know the Sunshine city. I golf at Couchiching Golf & Country Club. My girlfriend lived in Orillia for many years.



For great brews and food, along with a beautiful view, I recommend The Lighthouse over looking the port of Orillia.
