Beautiful pictures Bricktop..

How far do you live from the desert?

Anonymous

It's not a place I would want a  breakdown.

Bricktop

I live about 650km south of its southernmost border. Some of the pics show vegetation, because it does get rain from time to time...whereas others are void of anything but rocks. No rain falls. Its an area of different zones and contrasts, each one unique and fascinating.

I've not been to the dead centre...which is a vast sandy desert that requires specialised 4x4's and equipment.

That's a fact. I once travelled around 120km and saw no car in either direction for an entire day. It is very desolate at times.

Some of those pictures resemble African savannahs.

I like the desert in the fourth picture..

There's probably wildlife hiding in those small shrubs.

The emu is a nasty tempered critter so I've heard.

Bricktop

Emus give no fucks.
