If someone posted on social media for this islamonazi's death, they'd get jail time.

QuoteA US-based Muslim preacher who allegedly advocated killing gay people is giving a lecture series in London after being allowed to enter the UK.

Mr Sodagar appeared in an online video recorded in 2010 in which he details ways in which gay people can be 'punished' for their sexuality, including being beheaded or thrown off a cliff. Footage shows him apparently telling an audience: "If there's homosexual men, the punishment is one of five things. One, the easiest one maybe, is cut their head off, that's the easiest. The second is, burn them to death. Third, throw them off a cliff. Fourth, tear down the wall on them so they die. Fifth, a combination of the above.

The UK is such a lost fucking cause, the occupant of number 10 is an apologist for the madness of sharia.

Wazzzup

This is another big reason why I am against "hate speech" laws.  They are not equally applied.

I think it should only extend to advocating violence or genocide and it should apply equally across the board.

that's good that you believe in that of course, but they aren't going to be.  They are going to be twisted into double standards and they are going to be twisted to fit the biases of the tribunal or judge. That has been their history (as I pointed out in the free speech thread).  Why would it change?

If the laws don't exist they can't be abused.

Which leads to the question--What is the harm in replealing them? tell me what horrible thing will happen that wouldn't happen otherwise if they weren't there?

Wait wait...bear with me for one second here as my education background includes philosophy of constitutional and criminal law.

Why was hate speech law created in the first place?  What issue was this law addressing?

THAT needs to be understood before talking about repealing.  So I challenge you to find out what drove the law's creation in the first place.

It's a slippery slope.

Worse. It's a steep fast coal shute  to  hell. Each step supplies impetus to go for the next steps

Shariah is the exact opposite to democracy and to our system of law

Hopefully it doesn't get that far. Reasonable accommodation is fine, but it cannot be carte blanche.

^^ Each step supplies impetus to go for the next steps

Dunno why "Reasonable accommodation" would be even thought of ... what makes islam so special?

130  .. not "law" .. YET .. . but an unnecessary step toward employment of shariah blasphemy law .. creep creep creep

People are being arrested in EU just for calling islam what it is .... one was for publishing "hate speech" quotes as contained in the Mein Koranmpf  ... yet the the War Manual for Dummies containing the original verses itself is allowed to exist .. how does that work? ..  .. some for bitching about the need for concrete barricades and cops everywhere  .... boggling how suicidal the West is

I don't mean special privileges for one religion or ideology or whatever you choose to call it. I mean in general, accommodating cultural practices as long as they don't conflict with the host nations laws.
