Winnipeg puts up barriers in a few places to keep out campers.

Wazzzup

Illegal aliens being more important to progressives than citizens.  Seems to be a trend.

But, the article never made any mention of illegal aliens. And barriers to prevent  squatters are not uncommon.

I think that was dinky's statement,, not the article's, that they are a sanctuary city (which they are, I just confirmed).  It is reasonable to control the homeless, but i think she was pointing out the hypocrisy of being a sanctuary city who lets in illegals but fences out homeless Americans.

Yes, it's hypocritical for a sanctuary city to do  that. There is pressure on our mayor to declare Winnipeg a sanctuary city, but he has resisted. I don't see why it matters though when Trudeau won't honour the Safe Third Country agreement and send asylum seekers back across the border.

Bricktop

Canada is a sanctuary nation...why declare a sanctuary city.

Trudeau pays terrorists 10M to stay there.

Exactly.

Blazor

Way more homeless in Settle than I thought. I mean I saw some, but didnt know it was so many. Why do they not have homeless shelters? Or spend the money on opening some shelters instead of spending it on trying to evict them from places that shelter them from the constant rain.
I've come here to chew bubble gum, and kick ass. And I'm all out of bubblegum.

I've heard Seattle had more homeless people than most cities..

I'll guess a lot of them are employed too.
