A pic of my new car I got from the dealership yesterday.  While I'll be giving my 12 year old civic hybrid to my oldest brother as his back up car.

Nice looking ride.

Thank you brother, though it's not a hybrid or an EV which I at first wanted, but now I'm thinking gas or diesel powered are still the most practical cars, at least we dun need to worry about the battery running out of juice in the middle of the road or having to condition it, etc.  ac_umm

Fully electric vehicles aren't very practical in a cold country like Canada.

Couldn't be anymore true, I remember my friend used to own a SMART car EV any barely gets 70km per charge during the winter once the heat is turned on, though in the summer it can travel about 120km, but still not enough to drive out of town to the local outlet malls.

Which is why we'll never own one.

Its not just the heater...

The batteries cannot handle the cold.. Your phone and your electric car die in a similar manner.

Plus.. You cant recharge it while its cold.

You cant leave your vehicle outside.

Zetsu

EV does has it's draw backs, think they can still survive the winter in southern Canada but definitely not where you guys live, Calgary or Findland... "brrrrr"

Nice car Buddy. I am going to hold on to my Jetta for a couple more years.

Quote from: "TheVancouverGuy"Very nice car! This is the CX-5 GT? A little pricy. Why did you pick it over the more sporty Mazda 3 hatchback?

I just finished Final Fantasy VII Remake. Good experience. I'll give it 8 stars out of 10. Too many ladders and triangle. The fight with Sephiroth was nuts. A Kingdom Hearts like cliffhanger ending that leaves a bad taste.

Thanks bro. Originally I was thinking of going for the CX-5 GT, but ended up buying this signature edition diesel mainly for towing stuff in the future.  I like the Mazda 3 hatchback too after seeing in at the dealer but my old man prefers large size cars so I ended up going for the CX-5, he'll be driving my car occasionally too, and tbh I kind of prefer the aggressive racy look on the CX-5.

Talking about Final Fantasy, you should try out the FFXIV MMO, though I don't play it atm, but it's still a good game.  My oldest brother like FFVII, and all my friends that played the original one loves it.

Nice car man

I still have my original FF7 game. I loved that game back in the day. For its time back then, the cinema scenes were amazing, and also when you would summon, those scenes were crazy, especially that one, forgot what its called, but where 12 knights or something attacked in various ways. Was the ultimate finisher.

Now that I am finished binging Grimm for the first time, I really loved that show btw, maybe I should get back into video games some. Think I was on Fallout 4 last, and the original Red Dead Redemption.

Speaking of amazing cinema scenes for its time, for the original Nintendo, my favorite game I think was Ninja Gaiden. Was one of the first games for me that really drew me in with the story, the game play was great too. I miss the days of side scrolling action lol.
I've come here to chew bubble gum, and kick ass. And I'm all out of bubblegum.

Thanks Seoul and Blaze, it's nice atm... but soon to be a trashed up car once my bratty nephew and my oldest brother comes over to Canada, I swear the kid will kick the ac vents, jump on the seats and scratch up all polished surface in the car lol, and I'll be just like Mel whining about the house he moved into.

I bet FFVII now worth like hundreds dollars right just for the original copy.  I still remember watching my brother play those Japanese RPGs as a kid and it pretty much blew my mind, while I was only playing the black and white gameboy back then, lol.  Thinking about video games, I really admire and respect the ppl that made them, gave us hundreds if not thousands of hours of fun.

Lol though my dad doesn't like the Japanese and their products mainly because he always say they make so many video games and get all the kids around the world addicted, but they hardly let their own children plays them, but then that was like over 30 years ago.  While my mom always ask me why can't I just play a video game for once that doesn't involves killing, she's a Buddhist and a vegetarian.  :laugh3:

Zetsu, you're one of the very few people in Canada who have bought a new car since provincial governments shut down their economies..

The dealership must've really appreciated your business.

For a sealed copy, a guy is selling his for $4000

All the used ones range, from $20 - nearly $200, with most being between $50 - $80.

I always took good care of all my games. So Im sure mine may fetch for closer to $200, as it has the case, manual, and scratch free.

Crazy on your parents views on games, but I can see that lol. My mom had time limits on me. I did the same for my son, but his damn mom knew the override code and would extend his time before I would get home from work lol.

I guess people want the physical copy as collectible. FF7 is only $16 on steam. I'm playing FF9 again. My all time favorite ff game of all time. If you have a PS4 give FF7 remake a try. Playing on my PS4 Pro the 4K HDR graphics is gorgeous. FF7 remake will bring back memories that will make you want to cry. I never played the original ff7. A certain death was so sad that I almost shed a tear. Not the death that you're thinking about.

Lol $4000 is insane, if it was $400 I wouldn't be surprised, but for $4000 I'd only consider it if I've won the lottery or something.  Think I'm the same too when it comes to taking care of my games, I must keep them in a carrying at all times thanks to my OCD, lol.

I think the last one I played was 8 maybe. PS2 was my last Playstation lol. There are some games on PS that I dont get to play because of that. I have an Xbox One, handed down from my son, the one I got him for Christmas lol. He upgraded.

Oh man, I would LOVE to play the remake!

I've never been a stream fan, not with games or movies. I mean sure I watch Netflix, but I prefer dvds/blurays. I prefer physical copies. If I want to take a movie or a game to a friends house or let them borrow it or something, I can. If I take care of it I will always be able to use it. I just dont like the idea of a hard drive or something going, or not be able to connect to the internet to download or something. Plus, I have a hard time accepting that a stream is the same price usually as a physical copy, yet there is no packaging or anything. Should be a lot cheaper! I dont know, Im also the same guy that has refused to stop using Windows XP lolol.

Believe it or not, I was on top of all technology. I started to see things I didnt like, so I refused to accept/support them. Like the stream thing for one. Or like Facebook and social media, how folks became, and the privacy concerns and such, I can go on and on about that. Or like how it has become with new tech, if you dont have the latest, you cant use it. Apple is the worst for that. Windows has followed suit. Cell phones, cant use it if it aint the latest either. I shouldnt have to keep buying new shit if my old shit works lol. But there is no support for so much that winds up old. Ugh, I could go on and on about new technology, like 5G, government intrusion, cameras and mics being activated without your consent, on and on and on. But folks like latest, humans like new and shiny. Companies know this, so they dont care. You either accept or dont use it. I prefer to not use it. Im almost being forced to though, between my outdated computer and cell phone. Ugh, the struggle lol.
