The pigeons don't mind me picking them up, though most of the quails are more skittish, except for the oldest male since used to bring him along with me when I go to bed, lol.

A quail in your bed?

Yep, I treat him like a stuff animal, he gets to sleep in the corner of my bed.  ac_cool

Quail are basically pigeons. You let them shit in your bed?

There are shit stains all over my bed now after I let my pigeons out at least once per day for the past 6 months, else if I don't they just flutter violently around the cage banging themselves all over the place.

That is nasty. :beurk:

I've hears of cats and dogs sleeping in a bed, but not a quail or any bird.

Sounds like a late night snack?  :confused1:

Zetsu likes his pet quail so much, he might have clothes for them.

Only if they sell bowties and frilly maid headpiece for my quails, I shall make them my personal servants.  ac_cool

Are those clothes edible? Or at least can be strained with a ladle?

I don't think so.

So, just quail soup...  ac_smile

Reminds me last time just right before I was about to start eating my jello for dinner, my button quail just had to jumped into my bowl of strawberry flavor jelly and ran around in circles leaving little quail footprints.  ac_umm

Can't you just put their cage besides the bed.

My cages are a bit too big, and if there're more than 1 or 2 they make so much noise at 6am, I ended up just pushing the cage into the hallway and shut the doors every morning until I moved to my new house with my personal computer room to house them, but then my laptops has been sucking a lot of dust, even the air filter gets clogged before the end of each month.  ac_unsure

They are generally and outdoor pet..

Lots of Taiwanese keep pigeons for pets, but they keep them outside.

Housing them outdoors would definitely solve the odor problem and my dad's phobia of my messy pets, only if I live somewhere warmer and not next to the farmland with hawks I'd build a nice little high security loft for them.

Not too well I assume, I know that the squabs usually don't survive if winter is coming.  ac_unsure

So, they have to be in a heated area.
