They came to Taiwan during the dying days of the Ming Dynasty.

Sunset in Bayou Vista Tx this evening.

It looks like a painting.

I may have this one made into an oil painting. So much color in the sky and reflections.

It's beginning to look a lot like X-mas.

The shelves don't seem to be as empty here as in the USA yet.

There are some shortages Fash.

Bricktop

Empty shelves are becoming commonplace here in a variety of stores.

Nothing critical. There's no shortage of essential goods and groceries, but some brands are disappearing.

The supply chain is drying up... not so much the producers. There's a high turn around/less distance between Australia and Asia then the rest... but because of bottlenecks in other places and our lower population/manufactured goods to export back, we're getting throttled in the pecking order of containers.

What we produce on shores for ourselves, as a consequence, naturally gets inflation and shrinkflation because business needs to pass on the costs in our already highly socialised award (wage) system. You'd think on a logical level that those 60-80 cent cans of generic vegetables, beans, and fruits sold through the supermarket chains could go on forever... but they have been slowly depleting and Australian companies like SPC are increasingly cutting their margins so that the chains can continually offer 20-50% percent off week to week. If you monitor the prices and availability week to week and month to month, traditionally cheap shit is being replaced by discounted local shit.

Old spec computer gear hasn't recently been updated in newer stock and levels but they're fetching higher margins across the board, yet most of the retailers are flogging 2-3 year old tablets, laptops, and peripheral gear in the lead up to the shopping season....most of which were previously sitting in warehouses here and all over literally rusting away.

We ordered a bunch of Halloween candies and lollies today... most of the fun packs were sporting less overall counts than In years before... I've never seen a 11 count bag before. It's a bakers less dozen!

Businesses are really hurting here but they're too afraid to announce it first and knock consumer confidence.

Households are hurting and have been made to do without through the lockdowns and cessation of incomes.

Our government/s continues to behave like fascists.

The old lady does the shopping, not me, so I aint seeing it. I was in a Canadian Tire in Regina last week and I didn't notice empty shelves. But, I just went in to buy bungee straps and left. I didn't walk around the entire store.

Bricktop

Probably not a merchandise where you'll notice shortages. But try to order a non-stocked item and you might notice a long delivery period.

And it's TYRE, not tire.

Canadian Tire is a retail chain......that's the way they spell it.
