Calgary and Vancouver's skylines are so much more photogenic than Toronto or Montreal's skylines.

I've come here to chew bubble gum, and kick ass. And I'm all out of bubblegum.

Australia has waterside cabins as well.

Infrastructure in Toronto and Montreal is older than that in Calgary and Vancouver.

Besides the weather and golf, one of the things I like most about my annual journey to Florida is the bbq.

I cant take credit for that..  ac_biggrin

I just took apart the old cabin and replaced the rotten parts..

Now I´m putting it back together..

The construction code dictates that the cabin needs to be at least 5 meters/ 16 feet away from the lake..

As you can see, its more like 1 feet away from the lake.

Nobody cares... But incase somebody wants to be a bitch, I have no problem in chopping this cabin for firewood..

Plan B is that I order some lumber and go on from there.

Plan C is to call the timber yard and order a cabin package... They are really cheap when you haul the timber to the target yourself and put the cabin together yourself.

I gotcha. Damn construction code lol, its just a cabin.

I've checked out those do it yourself cabin packages before, they are fairly affordable.

Hopefully no one bitches, but if they do, I want an invite to the bonfire

That'll be expensive if you have to tear it down and start again..

You should just build it to comply with the code.

If I had to guess, he is prolly trying to avoid having another foundation poured, and water and electric lines moving (if there are any).

Also, I bet the code changed after the original one was already standing.

Its a prime spot, I dont blame him for not wanting to move it. Fish off the patio

Edit: nevermind on the foundation theory, I dont see any, except on one corner lol.
