We have a bird called a black faced cuckoo shrike, your Canadian Magpie looks like one them only prettier in colour/s.

They seem to be similar in size and the shape of their heads.

Yes, I thought the beaks were a similar size... our magpies have rather big beaks...



But we also have a bird called, "magpie lark" or "Pee wee," or "Mud Larks"... same bird differently named in different parts of our country.

I got lightning last night. (Storm group go there)



On the my tree group, there is a new member... she's concerning herself with an environmental travesty. They want to removed over 8,000 trees on crown land (sides of the road)... get this... to make way for trucks carrying the windfarm to its location... OMG...I'm completely outraged.





Trees attract rain... farmers take all the trees out and then whinge and phucking moan when a drought comes along. Go to my tree group and see the short vid on the trees they want to take out... 53 have gone already.

To me, it's like someone opened all the cages and doors at every pet store and said fly.

Their cage is their bedroom... omg, I had a pair of budgies tame that bred in my house...they were so tame, they knew their separate names.... I had a stick, I'd call them and they'd fly to it.





I do not believe in clipping wings either.....





There isn't anything wrong with a cage provided at least some of the day they're out of it.





My birds were so tame, I could walk outside with them on my shoulder and they wouldn't fly off.





I was the bird lady in the neighbourhood...





I much prefer just providing two bird baths... one at the front and one at the back now and just keeping a couple of chickens. I have up to 30 species hanging around... I have trees... and water.... what move could they want?
