Quote from: "Bricktop"Of course, the real tragedy is that the child is deprived of a parent in later years.

I am forty nine now and I never had a kid. I regret it, but I was too messed up on booze when I was young. When I got sober I was already getting into my late thirties.

You kids, these days.

 :laugh3:

We are a silly lot.

Why can't you be like WE were....perfect in every way.

My parents spoiled me rotten. :laugh3:

Mmm....my generation did do a LOT of overcompensating.

It's best not to have children these days...  They are a huge financial burden, a huge consumer of your time, are entering a world, a society, that doesn't look all too promising, and when they hit their teens, may grow up to be violent, hulking monsters or drug addicted thieves...

Just say no to kids, like I do!

I spoke to my friend the other day about this guy we knew who had a child at 62.

That was 4 years ago. Fast forward 4 years now he's 66, about Bricktop's age.

His daughter is now 4 years old and the mother is around 35.

Well apparently he's a physical and nervous wreck.

He's gone from a spry young man to an old codger in 4 short years.

In the hospital has undergone numerous surgeries requires constant care.

About the only thing he's got is the woman who had his child which he'd rather not be reminded of.

Don't know how much longer he'll be alive.

He probably won't be around too nuch longer to watch his daughter grow up.

But maybe he doesn't want to as she's more like a sense if shame rather than pride for him.

Ya okay.
