The whole world is so fucked right now.

And who knows if a rushed vaccine will turn out even worse for us

I completely agree... We haven't vaccinated for a number of things with our LO due to no long term case studies having been done, anecdotal evidence of increased harms or likelihoods, and sometimes just because they're stupid... (Chicken pox vaccine, hello? )

Which ties into a point I made earlier here... without 20 something mandatory vaccines or boosters recorded in her government record, should we end up living in a cardboard box at the end of a sewer drain and eating bugs and worms, the Australian government would continue to offer 0.00c for people in that situation, due to non-compliance of bureaucratic mandates, and eventually try to take children away for neglect...

...and legally, it's possible the State can take kids away from parents who refuse to send their children to school against government policy...

Listening to government is seldom in the best interests of the governed...

When things are this bad I will take any hope I can get.

I never saw it, but I should watch it.

Each year we require over 40,000 foreign temporary workers to keep our economy going. Right now, there is a crisis facing our agricultural sector. The workers that farms need coming across the border right now are barred from entry. These are unprecedented times, and they call for unprecedented measures. I believe that the government should allow Canadians currently being laid off to collect EI, and at the same time go to work in our agricultural sector. We need our domestic food supply.

Taking action on the economy needs to start now.

Raise the basic personal exemption to $30,000, effective the 2019 tax year onward.
Declare a tax holiday to bring money back into the Canadian economy.
Zero-interest loans for businesses effected by COVID-19 so paycheques can still go out.
End the carbon tax now.

This will give every individual who earns at least $30,000 per year an immediate $2,2000 refund cheque if they’ve already filed their 2019 taxes.

For a married or common-law couple, the difference is $4,4000.

The cost to the Canadian treasury is over $30-billion. But this is the kind of stimulus the country needs.

We have 1,000,000 EXTRA unemployed now because they closed us down... No shops, restaurants, cafes, picture theatres.

Those workers standing in the dole queue are mortified they are there.

I have to go to the dentist soon and I have to go through 3rd degree questioning to get treated.

Every state has closed its borders.. I don't know how long. At least two weeks.

We have 3 cruise ships where I live who want to come in... We are saying NO, you cannot come in. One ship we tested for the virus and there are 7 people with the virus on that ship The West Australians who are on the cruise ships will be put at Rottnest Island for a quarantine period.
All the rest have to go back where they came from.
Our news has just reported Prince Charles has the virus.

Our agriculture and fish processing depend on temporary foreign workers. But over 1,000,000 people in Canada have filed for EI. Some estimates say up to 4 million people will be out of work.

We should let people collect EI, and at the same time collect a paycheque for working in key seasonal industries that need support at this time, like agriculture and fish processing. The Trudeau government is allowing these workers to come to Canada. And some of these temporary foreign workers are testing positive for COVID-19. When Canadians are worried about how they will pay their rent, cover their mortgage, and buy the basics, they should have first crack at local jobs.
