And yet I wouldn’t take advice from alcoholics like yourself who said they were punched out in fights they brought on themselves and lickins’ they had a comin’.

Anyways if you had substance abuse problems like you said you did then you were obviously mentally ill and unstable. So how could anyone trust your judgment IHJ?

Joe, is there a reason you feel the need to define people by their health issues?

Are you a perfect, problem free specimen of homo sapien?

Would you be so bold in real life, if IHJ or Herman were standing a metre in front of you?

Iron horse jockey is in terrific health and very active..

JOE is a very jealous, insecure person.

According to FNC, 40% of American women between 18 and 54 years of age want a socialist government in the US...not as represented by the Democratic party but MUCH further left. Free health care, free education and a centrally controlled economy.

They want an end to capitalism.

That is a frightening statistic if you live in America.

Were they asked who would pay for it?

And yet America can supposedly afford this ultra expensive military which is making them go broke.

If the wealthy in America don’t wanna pay more tax, then they should at least pay for that military

I’d slap on a military industrial complex tax especially for them.

And while they’re at it pay for that wall they want Trump to build for them so badly

For years and years Biden supported the Hyde amendment--which prohibits taxpayer funded abortion, but Biden gets a tweet from from a D- List, has been, celebrity, Alyssa Milano and he instantly flip flops.

Maybe she let him smell her hair? ac_dunno

I kinda think no matter who gets in America’s best years are behind it Lump.

And ta think it came all crashing down in 8 short years under dubya bush.

Y’know what would be really good if someone, regardless of party affiliation, came along for even just one term, rolled up his sleeves, did the dirty work and cleaned out America’s house.

You guys really need someone who can make the tough decisions.

Raise taxes on the ultra rich, cut spending cut the deficits & bring America back to fiscal health.

Last president who did that was Bill Clinton & a GOP Congress.

“YOU NEED TO have your throat cut out and your decomposing, bug-infested body fed to wild pigs.” An anonymous Facebook user wrote that—and more that’s unprintable—to Kyle Edmund after the British pro tennis player lost in a 2017 tournament.

After University of Cambridge classics professor Mary Beard spoke about the history of male suppression of female voices, she received Twitter threats, including “I’m going to cut off your head and rape it.”

On Martin Luther King Day this year, an anonymous Twitter user lionized the man who killed King some 50 years ago: “RIP James Earl Ray. A true fighter for the white race.” The same month, U.S. President Donald Trump tweeted that his “Nuclear Button … is a much bigger & more powerful one” than Kim Jong Un’s. This capped weeks of dueling statements in which Trump called the North Korean leader “Rocket Man” and “a madman” and Kim called Trump “a gangster” and a “mentally deranged U.S. dotard.”

The internet is a particularly volatile place of late. Aggression on social media has reached such a pinnacle of acrimony that some U.S. House members proposed designating an annual “National Day of Civility.” The proposal drew civil responses—but also tweets and posts of wrath, ridicule, and profanity.

Is this aggression on social media giving us a glimpse of human nature, one in which we are, at our core, nasty, belligerent beasts?

No.

It’s true that hate crimes are on the rise, political divisions are at record heights, and the level of vitriol in the public sphere, especially online, is substantial. But that’s not because social media has unleashed a brutish human nature.--Really? I'm skeptical about this statement.

There sure a lotta awful people on the Blue Cashew, Ayzha.

Caint laugh at themselves, caint take a joke, lash out at others, express themselves with hate, bigotry & racist remarks.

that's the real them, it shore iz.

What a person writes is how they act irl I'm afraid.

Oh well!

Poll: Democrat (voters) Overwhelmingly Believe U.S. Has Only 12 Years to Fight Climate Change
https://pjmedia.com/trending/poll-democ ... te-change/

67 percent of Democrats believe Ocasio-Cortez’s climate change warning to be completely legit.

AOC recently said that people who believe what she said should be taken literally, that the earth would end in 12 years, have the intelligence of a sea sponge

Hmmm apparently two thirds of dem voters have the intelligence of sea sponges. But that's not really surprising is it?

Nevermind climate change, Lump.

You guys have got 12 years or less ta get your financial house in order.

Thats the real crisis comin’. Not climate change, its the debt bomb - the excessive amount of public & private debt America holds.

I know America ain’t the only country with this problem.

But because you guys have the most debt, when a crisis hits, it’ll whack & take most of the other nations down with it. Americas debt crisis points a gun at the heads of every other nation in the world

Seems I’m becoming the ‘New Mel’ of this forum.

That is a somewhat spurious article.

If America invests so much in social welfare, where is it going? What is it spending on, and why? Why are their entire suburbs of "homeless" people living in boxes and tents? Why is health care beyond the reach of some?

This quote undermines the headline handsomely.

"On the basis that state health care, state healthcare insurance and private health care insurance are all "poolings of risk". They are thus communal social welfare spending and we can indeed group them this way if we wish
. Put this way, the US spends some 30 per cent of all GDP on such social welfare: which puts it well up the listings."

Well you got at least some socialism in Australia, eh BT?

I had this Australian roommate and he said the guv there gave him an allowance while attending university.

Plus he said his healthcare is covered by the Australian government.

What amazes about Australia is they do everything America and Canada does to help its people but at lower cost & far lower debt levels. Its almost as if they get 10 x more bang for their buck while spending much less

Its very difficult to win in those national lottos Superchecker.

My best was around $50 cumulatively in BC lotto.

Altho the pot is smaller I think its much easier to win the provincial only lottos because the competition is much less due to the lower quantity if tickets sold therefore your odds are better.

Ive come to the conclusion if you wanna win at thise tings you gotta follow them like a religion.

Be dedicated study the charts & continuously buy tickets

Usu the people who win those things have been at it for years and they have a subscription of some sort.

I won stuff on them but due to real life circumstances, distractions and interruptions (death in the family) I stopped. In so doing the momentum I had acquired grpund to a halt.

Ya really gotta be a player ta win.

For better for worse gambling is a religion, their church is the gambling venue or game & their God is money. At the same time it takes that kinda dedication to win.

Ive seen people who win lotteries and theyre at it all the time.

Plus they love it. I didnt/don’t.

Come to the conclusion im not really a gambler

Actually BY I’ve given your post some thought, and I do think it is fair game to point out the frailties of others, particularly if these individuals who seek forum protection under Momma Fashionista’s skirt yet cannot refrain from making ad hominem attacks on others. Additionally they volunteered this information and at least on this forum it is not a secret. In other words if it becomes public domain then it is fair to coment, critique and analyze these behaviors or personal flaws/failings.

Yes there is a link between Herman’s belligerent Nature & his real life persona as a heavy drinker. I have friends who are alcoholics & they have violent disturbed sides of their character. Also they have serious problems and they hide under the drunkenness of the bottle.

And yes IHJ is a recovering alcoholic whose past battle with the bottle is evident. I always sense this repressed anger who like any alky who hasn’t had a drink in a while cant refrain from lashing out at others. Rather than revel in self pity as to why he was beat up, he might also ask himself whathe had done to inflict this suffering upon himself.

As for cc, if she’d gone through a number if failed marriages perhaps she ought to look in the mirror and ask why. There’s always 2 tales to a relationship. According to cc it seemed as tho it was akways her partners fault. However given her appetite for invective and shortness if tact perhaps the outcomes were not terribly surprising.

And You protect your favorite or preferred posters by muzzling those you disagree with under euphemisms such ‘forum derailment’. You have so many other levels such as ‘firepit’ or ‘’reject rodeo’ that it’d be more appropriate to roll them all into one and label them more accurately for what they are: ‘forum censorship ‘.

It’s nothing new as this forum has been doing this since its inception.
