Denmark Passes Muslim-focused Handshake Law

I like what I am seeing in Denmark.

Denmark has passed a law stating individuals who take citizenship tests must shake hands during ceremonies, in a move seen as deliberately targeting religiously conservative Muslims.



The law, approved on Thursday by the country's right-wing coalition, states that from January 1, would-be citizens undergoing Denmark's naturalization process must perform the contact gesture with the presiding dignitary, such as the local mayor. Those who refuse would be denied citizenship.

Denmark to detain foreign criminals and unwanted asylum seekers on an island

Foreign criminals awaiting deportation from Denmark will be banished to a deserted island, the government has announced.



Rejected asylum seekers who have committed crimes will be detained at a facility on Lindholm, an uninhabited, seven-hectare island in the province of Vordinborg, a kilometre from the mainland.



It will also house foreigners who do not have permission to stay but cannot be deported for legal reasons, such as stateless people and those from countries which do not have a readmission agreement with Denmark.

It's symbolic sure. But, it is better than kissing Islam's boots like Trudeau does.

I don't blame the current Danish government for laying out the welcome mat for an alien ideology. The Danes attempts to fix a mess are too little too late. But, unlike our regime in Ottawa they are saying no to unreasonable accommodations.

Sweden, Denmark introduce border checks to stem migrant flow from Germany

Denmark and Sweden tightened border checks on Monday to stem the flow of migrants coming in from Germany, dealing fresh blows to the vision of a Europe without national boundaries.



As of midnight Sunday, Sweden demanded that all passengers travelling by train from Denmark show ID, something that hasn't been required since the 1950s.

I find it alarming there is an international push to take away the borders of Western nations. When anyone can cross a border illegally and stay, said country is no longer sovereign.
