Quote from: "Bricktop"The open range of Monarto gives them plenty of room. Sometimes you can't see animals like bisons because they are so far away.

We love the rhinos, and the babies are so cute.

We go behind the scenes and get to play with the young. They are like puppies.
Baby rhinos are cute

You visited the local open zoo?  You mean you visited the reject rodeo?

Be sure to wear disposable shoes there.

I think Berry means both places contain animals.

We have a zoo in Calgary, but the enclosures are not cages..

They are smaller of course than a conservation park, but they try to make it seem as close to a natural habitat as possible.
I have yet to visit the Calgary Zoo. Would like.to see the polar bear and pandas.

Great photos. Amazing how you can photograph them like that. At the Vancouver Zoo the monkeys and lions are behind fence. The camera picks up the fence that often shows up as white haze.

The zoo is open range. The animals are on large areas of land.

Australia is one of the countries involved in the relocation of severely endangered animal species due to human environmental destruction, poaching or over hunting.

And at the same time couldn't give two knobs of goat shit about our own flora and fauna.

I'm actually extremely opposed to African animals coming here and living on open ranges....

Since when was it a good idea introducing feral animals to Australia? Do you see what I mean?

Rabbits, foxes, camels, brumbys goats, pigs, cats .....

The rhinos will not be released into the wild. And if one did happen to escape, they would be pretty easy to spot.

I'm not sure why you think we don't care for our own. We are one of, if not the only country in the world that protects its snakes.

Even developing countries protect their beautiful furry animals..

I doubt many other countries besides Australia protect snakes.
