A million and a half illegals is a national emergency. This issue should be the priority of both parties. Stop the flow of illegals. Do it now. Deploy the army at the border, and build that wall.

I don;t know I know its mostly south americans with children. It may be because they have heard the asylum scam gets them in, which it does.

Maybe there's an even better way.  Close the border, see below.

President Trump on Friday threatened to close the Southern Border next week if Mexico does not "immediately stop" the record-breaking surge of illegal immigrants flooding into the United States.

Trump's warning comes as Customs and Border Protection officials say March is on pace to exceed 100,000 border apprehensions -- the highest monthly total in a decade. According to CBP, this week alone, agents have more than 12,000 migrants in custody.,

"The DEMOCRATS have given us the weakest immigration laws anywhere in the World. Mexico has the strongest, & they make more than $100 Billion a year on the U.S.," Trump tweeted. "Therefore, CONGRESS MUST CHANGE OUR WEAK IMMIGRATION LAWS NOW, & Mexico must stop illegals from entering the U.S. through their country and our Southern Border."

"Mexico for many years made a fortune off of the U.S., far greater than Border Costs. If Mexico doesn't immediately stop ALL illegal immigration coming into the United States through[sic] our Southern Border, I will be CLOSING the Border, or large sections of the Border, next week."
I think most of the illegals and fake refugees are Central Americans from hell holes like Honduras and Guatamala.

Yes, my mistake, that's most of them.

Exclusive–Michelle Malkin to Trump: No More 'Empty Threats' on Immigration, Border

https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2019/03/29/exclusive-michelle-malkin-to-trump-no-more-empty-threats-on-immigration-border/">https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2019 ... on-border/">https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2019/03/29/exclusive-michelle-malkin-to-trump-no-more-empty-threats-on-immigration-border/

QuoteI don't want to hear empty threats anymore about how he's going to do what he should have done many, many, many months ago. The fact that you have a massive number now of ... strangers bringing in children, tells you that the very magnet that he says he understands is causing this. The failure to just go ahead executively and fix the asylum system, proves him right on that and yet he's not doing what he can do as president with his executive authority.

Here's my fear, is that you know the conventional establishment talking point this week on immigration — even as these hordes of people are coming in unprecedented numbers — is 'Oh, we got a few billion from the Pentagon for the fencing.' And it just lulls the base into this false sense of hope that something is being done when we could have Congresspeople in Washington, themselves, putting pressure on Trump to exercise his inherent executive authority to actually do more than just put a few more dozen miles of physical barriers. And I'm not saying that we don't need [a wall] but what needs to happen is that the policies need to change.

More blame for the levels of illegal immigration the country is currently experiencing should be placed with elected Republicans, Malkin said, who failed to take any action on immigration while controlling the House and Senate for the first two years of Trump's term. "Faux pro-borders Republicans ... deserve a heck of a lot more scrutiny and condemnation for putting us in the situation that we're in," Malkin said.

"We have information that a new caravan is forming in Honduras, that they're calling 'the mother of all caravans,' and they are thinking it could have more than 20,000 people," Sanchez Cordero said Wednesday.
"It's staggering," McAllen City Manager Roy Rodriguez said. "Really, we've never seen anything like this before."

Along the Texas border with Mexico – from El Paso to Eagle Pass to the Rio Grande Valley – masses of migrants have been crossing the border in unprecedented numbers, overwhelming federal holding facilities and sending local leaders and volunteers scrambling to deal with the relentless waves of people.
It's not getting much coverage in the Canadian media.

It's not getting much coverage in the Canadian media.
Understandable since it doesn't really affect Canadians.  It looks like Trudeau has chilled with letting illegals into Canada.  If he wins, though, I am betting he will go back to normalizing illegal immigration again.

And of course they will be headed here after that.  Mexico is brazenly responding to Trump's ultimatum that Mexico must do something to stop illegal immigration.  They are calling trump's bluff to close the border unless Mexico does something.

Trump needs to stop making idle threats and bluffing, nobody is falling for it.

Close the border until congress fixes a broken immigration system.

Trudeau is not doing anything about it. This is from August, but there hasn't been any big policy changes.

Illegal border crossings from U.S. increase by nearly 23 per cent from June to July

The US could run out of avocados if Trump closes the border. More importantly, Democrats could run out of illegal voters.

QuoteAs President Donald Trump threatens to shut down the U.S.-Mexico border, some of the highest-ranking Texans from within his own party are warning about the consequences of doing so.

"Closing the border to legal commerce would be devastating to Texas," U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, said in a statement Wednesday evening. "Millions of jobs, in Texas and across the country, depend upon trade with Mexico, and the federal government shouldn't do anything to jeopardize those jobs."

Well there you go.  The highest number of illegals coming in in ten years and apparently no one will stop it.

Trumps response is to put tarriffs on cars a year from now :001_rolleyes:

Quote"If the drugs don't stop — Mexico can stop them if they want to — we are going to tariff the cars. The cars are very big, and if that doesn't work we are going to close the border," Trump said at the White House. "We are going to give them a one-year warning."
